MIDWEST SEEDLINE - A Hands On Mission Field Stateside!
Midwest Seedline is a ministry that helps to provide a means for the local church to have hands on involvement in the mission field - while staying stateside! This is accomplished by bringing the printed page to a local church, along with all the necessary equipment to complete the task of making a Bible. The local church body works together in collating it, folding the covers, put the printed Scripture in the cover, stapling it, and cutting the book to the final size. Lastly, the Bibles are boxed for shipping to the field for the missionary to share them. This ministry is simple, rewarding and Biblical.
The Seed is the Word of God. Down through the ages there have been a line of Churches who stayed true to His Word and to His command to make Christ known. The apostle Paul wrote in Colossians 4:16, "And when this epistle is read among you, cause that it be read also in the church." He also wrote in 1 Thessalonians 5:27, "I charge you by the Lord that this epistle be read unto all the holy brethren." Under the law, kings and priests were commanded to make copies of the Word of God. In the New Testament, the local Churches were the publishers of the Word of God. We are in the "Church Age." God still wants the Church to publish His Word. It is God's commandment that we make Christ known to the world by the Scriptures, for the obedience of the faith (Romans 16:26).
Research has shown that these Bibles will pass through 7 people on average before becoming lost, warn out, or unreadable. Of those 7 people, each has the opportunity to learn The Gospel. More importantly, 1 in 7 will accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior. In effect, on average, each of these Bibles will result in 1 person being Saved. We often help a church produce 18,000 Bibles (John and Romans) in a single weekend. Can you imagine - 18,000 people Saved as a result of a single weekend? While it may take a little time for each one to be shared by 7 people, that is still an incredible yield. And, as The Word says, we are not the harvesters - only the sowers. Let's sow some seeds together!
We believe that the Midwest Seedline Ministry provides an opportunity for everyone to have a personal, hands-on involvement in worldwide Missions - right here from home.
